Botany Group meet on the 2nd Monday of the month, either on a field trip or 10-12pm in the Communal Room, Militia Way. The group has a varied programme that should appeal to anybody with an interest in plants. Sue Holgate and Helen Moore lead the group, if you are interested send a message to Sue through the email link above.

The group is for u3a members who simply admire plants and would like to learn more. It includes wildflower enthusiasts, gardeners, and amateur field botanists.

It is very much a self-help and d-i-y group, We generally learn from each other, with only the occasional invited speaker. This makes us an informal and friendly bunch.

Newsletters

During the Covid-19 lockdown, Botany Group produced a weekly U3A Plant News edited by Helen Moore. Issues of each newsletter may be viewed in Botany Group Newsletters 2020-21 With the return of regular meetings these newsletters have come to an end.
