The U3a Folk Music group is a group of acoustic instrumentalists who meet once a month to play largely English Folk Music. The aim is to play from music but to gradually learn sets of tunes that we can play by ear. We currently meet at a member's house in Ely on the third Wednesday afternoon of the month, (day and time may change according to members). Suitable instruments: violin, accordion, melodeon, concertina, recorder, mandolin, guitar, flute, etc. Everyone plays together - it is not a round the room session for people to play solo.
