The Film Appreciation group meet once a month in Ely Library Meeting room to watch a film and discuss it afterwards. The films range from lesser-known classics, some highly-regarded foreign films and unexpected choices that may have passed you by. Discussion is informal, usually centered on personal response and what was appreciated. The films are often preceded by a short talk or presentation.
Steve Merrell is a former teacher of film and media and chairs the meeting. The meetings are usually the second Wednesday of the month. Doors open at 1.15pm fpr a 1.30pm start. Please email if you want to added to the waiting list for new members.
